Call for Posters

The Call is closed

fet11 will feature posters and hold a poster session. Posters are an opportunity for presenting late-breaking results, ongoing research, and speculative or embryonic work in progress.

Posters are intended for authors and participants to engage in discussions about their work. The posters will have to highlight the multi-disciplinarity of the work and be presented in such a way as to be accessible to a broad audience

Submission

Authors should submit a two-page abstract for evaluation. The abstract must clearly demonstrate relevance to Future and Emerging Technologies. Submissions will be evaluated for acceptability by the programme committee. Decisions about acceptance will be based on relevance to FET, originality, potential significance and clarity. Multi-disciplinarity and reach-out to other communities will also have an important weight in the decision.

At least one of the Poster authors must be a registered participant at the Conference, and attend the poster session to present and discuss the work. The abstracts of all accepted posters will be given to all conference attendees and published on the conference web site.

Poster abstracts must be submitted in ACM format. For complete details, see ACM SIG Proceedings templates. Please remove the ACM copyright box from the first page of your submission; also ignore the boxes "Categories and Subject Descriptors" and "General Terms" after the Abstract.

Poster abstracts must be submitted in pdf format. No other format will be accepted. Poster abstracts that exceed the limit of 2 pages will be rejected without review.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the selection via email by 25th March 2011.

Authors of selected posters will be later instructed and asked to provide the final poster content. Posters will be printed by the conference organisers.

Proposers of selected posters will get 1 free admission (per poster) to the fet¹¹ conference, including lunches and receptions.

We plan to publish conference proceedings. More information will be available shortly.

The three best exhibitions will be awarded prizes during the closing session of the conference.
